For Ashley Merrill, CEO & Founder of Lunya, the intention
was never to start another fashion company. But there was a
business idea that kept gnawing at her. She didn't know
anything about how to make clothes or production but she had a big
vision. She wanted to create sleepwear that both looked great but
was functional. She wanted to reach consumers who really cared
about Wellness because as she saw it, Wellness is like the food
pyramid with sleep as the foundation.
In this episode, you'll hear how fear almost stopped her from
starting the business, how she didn't start with a business plan,
how she used to surveys and feedback to design her collections, how
she dealt with productions problems, why creating a great culture
is so difficult to find and maintain, how she deals with stress and
being present, what entrepreneurship means to her, and how she
deals with growing Lunya and having a family.
Listen to Part 1 of this 2 Part episode and hear Ashley
Merrill share the inside story of the building a brand.
